The question is not whether AI can help your work.

It is where your information goes when it does.

02 — The boundary

You decide what, if anything, leaves.

The confidential work runs on a machine in your building. There is a gate in the wall — and it stays shut until you open it, for cleared work only.

Closed by default. Nothing crosses the wall just because a tool is called "AI." Open the gate only when a specific, non-sensitive task is worth it.

Local means accountable

I'm the person who answers the phone.

I'm Trent Telenda, a Winter Garden systems-and-operations specialist. I've designed, built, and run several private, on-premise AI systems. With a background in operations, automation, and hands-on IT and hardware, I build practical systems people actually use — I assess the need, install it in person, train your team, and stay reachable.

The math

Own it once, or bleed every month.

For sensitive work, the honest comparison isn't a $20 chatbot. To put client or patient data through cloud AI you need a signed BAA — a Business Associate Agreement, the HIPAA contract that lets an outside vendor legally handle your protected health or client data — and that only comes with enterprise plans: custom-priced, billed annually, with seat minimums and usage billed on top. Consumer and business tiers can't legally touch it. That enterprise bill recurs forever and grows with every hire.

Illustrative — a ~15-seat office at a conservative enterprise rate; enterprise pricing is custom, so your real figure comes from a quote. Break-even lands around year two, then the cloud keeps billing and the owned system doesn't. Under a handful of people, cloud can be cheaper up front — there the reason to own is privacy, not price. Straight answers

Questions worth asking.

Is this actually for everyone?

No — and that's the point. It's a purpose-built working tool, not magic and not a substitute for professional judgment. It's scoped to specific workflows; a person still reviews anything that matters. If you want a general chatbot, you don't need me.

Is my data really private, and where does it live?

Sensitive files and local-model work stay on hardware in your building. Any optional cloud path is separately controlled and limited to data you've cleared. It reduces third-party exposure and supports your controls — it works alongside your compliance or legal adviser, not in place of them.

What happens if something breaks?

Starter and Cornerstone include 90 days of settling-in care; Setup on your hardware includes 30 days. Further help is arranged to fit — hourly, one-off, or an optional continuing-care retainer.

Do we need an IT person?

No. I install the system, train your team, and can stay involved. If you already have IT support, I work with them.

Will it work with our existing tools?

Often, yes. The assessment identifies safe integration points and flags tools that can't or shouldn't be connected.
